Tubing · About 4 hours
Your own tube, a clean jungle river, Class I–II+ rapids, and a snack on the riverbank.
Most people book this thinking it's a lazy river. It isn't.
You sit back in your own big tube and the Savegre does the work. For a while it's quiet: green walls of jungle on both sides, your feet up, nothing to do. Then the river drops into a set of waves, the tubes start bouncing, and everybody is yelling and laughing at the same time. Then it goes quiet again.
That back-and-forth is what people tell us they loved. Exciting, then relaxing, then exciting again. Nobody is bored and nobody is terrified.
You don't need to know anything. There are no paddles and nothing to learn. Your guide rides beside you in a kayak the whole way, lines you up for each rapid, and pulls you loose if you get hung up on a rock. If white water makes you a little nervous, this is a good place to start.
Along the way we pull over on the riverbank and set out the snack: fresh pineapple and whatever fruit is good that day, chips with pico de gallo made right there, and something cold to drink. It's bigger than you expect.
Then back in the tubes, and that's usually when someone says they don't want it to end.

Families with teenagers. Groups of friends. Grandparents who want to be in the river with everybody else, not waiting in the van. People who have done the zip lines and the rafting and want a slower day that still has something in it.
If your group wants big rapids and hard paddling, look at our Naranjo or Chorro rafting trips.
